Frits van Dam works as a research psychologist at the Netherlands Cancer Institute-Antoni van Leeuwenhoek hospital in Amsterdam. He is emeritus professor psychology at the University of Amsterdam. His main research interest are: cognitive impairment after cancer treatment, pain and health services research. He is secretary of the Dutch Society against Quackery and has published several articles on the use of alternative treatments by cancer patients.
